Caucasus 2016 [ru] (Kavkaz 2016), September 5-11 2016. It was carried out in the Southern Military District; for the first time the training area included Crimea, which was included into the military district after the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014.[1]
Caucasus 2020 (Kavkaz 2020), September 21-26, 2020. Participants were the militaries of Russia, Belarus, and several other states. It was carried out in the Southern Military District; the used ranges included Kapustin Yar, Prudbpoy range by Prudboy, and Ashuluk range [ru] by Ashuluk, as well as in the waters of the Black and Caspian Seas. It was attended by inspectors from Germany and Denmark. Also, a joint mission of Germany, France, and Romania performed an overfly in accordance with the Treaty on Open Skies.[2]
