Master of the stewards

The master of the stewards[1] or master of the table[2] (German: Königliche Obertruchsess,[3] Hungarian: étekfogómester,[3] and Latin: dapiferorum regalium magistri or magister dapiferorum)[3][2] was one of the high officials of the royal household in the Kingdom of Hungary.[2] Masters of the steward were included among the "true barons"[4] of the realm from around 1220.[2]
