Mea Shearim (Hebrew: מאה שערים, lit., "hundred gates"; contextually, "a hundred fold") is one of the oldest Ashkenazi neighborhoods in Jerusalem outside of the Old City. It is populated by orthodox Ashkenazi, and was built by members of the Old Yishuv.
