Meerut district, is one of the districts of Uttar Pradesh state of India, with the city of Meerut as the district headquarters. Meerut district is also a part of the Meerut division.[1] The administrative head of district of Meerut is a District Magistrate[2] while the administrative head of Meerut Division is Divisional Commissioner, an IAS officer.[3]
