Michael I. Kotlikoff is an American biomedical researcher, academic leader, veterinarian, former provost of Cornell University from 2015 to 2024, and interim president of Cornell University since July 2024.[1].[2] Since 1986, his academic resarch on cardiovascular biology, optogenetics, mouse genetics, and ion channel function has been funded by the National Institutes of Health.
