Ships of up to 20,000 tons displacement can be built.[2] Current production includes cargo ships of 14,000 and 20,000 tons, 1,500-ton destroyers and 82-ton patrol boats for the Korean People's Navy, dredgers, 3,750-ton stern trawlers, etc.[2]

The facility is served by the Korean State Railway via the Namp'o Port station on the P'yŏngnam Line.
