Paternity fraud

Paternity fraud is one form of misattributed paternity^[1] or paternal discrepancy.^[2] Specifically, paternity fraud is the intentional misidentification of a child's biological father.^{[citation needed]} Paternity fraud is distinct from other, unintentional misattribution, which may arise from simple error, an accident such as a mix-up during fertility treatment, or a sexual assault.^{[citation needed]}
