In Greek mythology, Phineus[1] (/ˈfɪniːəs, ˈfɪn.juːs/; Ancient Greek: Φινεύς, Ancient Greek: [pʰiː.neǔs]) or Phineas, was a king of Salmydessus in Thrace[2] and seer, who appears in accounts of the Argonauts' voyage.[3] Some accounts make him a king in Paphlagonia[4] or in Arcadia.[5]
