The Raizal are the indigenous inhabitants of the The Raizal Islands, located approximately 292 miles south-west of Jamaica. They are not defined by race but are labeled by the Colombian authorities as one of the Afro-Colombian ethnic groups under the multicultural policy pursued since 1991. They are speakers of the San Andrés-Providencia Creole, which is a dialect of Jamaican Patwah.
