Rona Alison Fairhead, Baroness Fairhead, CBE (née Haig; born 28 August 1961), is a life peer and businesswoman. [1] She served as a minister of state at the Department for International Trade from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, she was the last chairman of the BBC Trust before its abolition and the first woman to hold the post.[2]

On 3 September 2017, it was announced that trade policy minister Lord Price would leave the government; on 28 September, Fairhead was appointed to succeed him.[3][4] Fairhead resigned as Minister of State in May 2019 having completed her agreed term.
