Shakargarh (Punjabi: تحصیل شکر گڑھ), is a tehsil located in Narowal District, Punjab, Pakistan.[2] Shakargarh was the only tehsil of Gurdaspur district which was included in Pakistan at the time of the independence in 1947. The literacy rate of Shakargarh is more than 97.6%, the highest in Pakistan. Pakistan Standard Time is referenced from Shakargarh.
