The Shenyang J-16 Hidden Dragon (Chinese: 歼-16 潜龙, Pīnyīn: Jiān-16 Qián Lóng) is a Chinese 4.5 generation,[3] tandem-seat, twinjet, multirole strike fighter[4][1] built by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation and operated by the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). It is developed from the Shenyang J-11, the licensed production variant of the Russian Sukhoi Su-27.[4]
