Talk:South Carolina in the American Revolution

There was no such thing as the "the Republic of South Carolina" -- that was a misunderstanding by amateur historians over 200 years later. South Carolina was a state, sent voting delegates to the Continental Congress, sent troops to the Continental Army, and was considered by everyone to be a full part of the United States of America. People who seem to think there was such a "Republic" need to get a source. Rjensen 11:33, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
