Talut (Arabic: طالوت, romanized: Ṭālūt) is a divinely appointed[1] king mentioned in the Quran traditionally identified with the Israelite king Saul,[2] as he is stated to be the Malik (مَـلِـك, 'king') of Bani Israel.
