Thai comics (Thai: หนังสือการ์ตูนไทย) are comics created and produced by Thai cartoonists (Thai: นักวาดการ์ตูน). Thai comics have a long history that dates back to the early 20th century. The industry saw significant growth during the 1980s and 1990s with the emergence of several successful comic series. Today, in addition to traditional printed comics, web comics have also gained popularity in Thailand.[1]
