Troy Scott Taylor (born April 5, 1968) is an American football coach and former player who is the head coach of the Stanford Cardinal. He played professionally as a quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). Taylor played college football for the California Golden Bears and was selected by the Jets in the fourth round of the 1990 NFL Draft.

After his playing career, Taylor served as co-head football coach at Folsom High School in Folsom, California, from 2012 to 2015;[1] co-offensive coordinator at Eastern Washington University in 2016;[2] offensive coordinator at the University of Utah from 2017 to 2018;[3] and as head coach at Sacramento State from 2019 to 2022.
