Tudor Dixon (née Makary; born May 5, 1977) is an American politician, businesswoman and conservative political commentator.[1] A member of the Republican Party, Dixon was the party's nominee for Governor of Michigan in the 2022 election. She became the Michigan Republicans' first female nominee for governor.[2] Dixon lost the election to incumbent Democratic governor Gretchen Whitmer, while still receiving the highest raw vote total for a Republican gubernatorial candidate in Michigan's history.[3]
