The University of Chittagong (also known as Chittagong University, abbreviated as CU; Bengali: চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a public research university located in Hathazari, Chattogram, Bangladesh. It was established on 18 August 1966. It is one of the oldest universities in Bangladesh.[3] Its 2,312.32 acres (935.76 ha) campus is the largest among universities in Bangladesh.[4] It is one of the four autonomous by the act universities of Bangladesh.
