Hello, my name is Alan.

  • Formally, I have studied linguistics in the United States (undergraduate studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara and Berkeley in the early seventies) and England (where I completed a doctorate at the University of London at the beginning of the nineties). • Most of my work focuses in a variety of ways on the study, development and support of minority or endangered languages in many parts of the world.
  • I have written several books, articles, etc., principally on the Basque and Nawat (Pipil) languages.

(Nawat, language of the Pipils of El Salvador in Central America)
