If you're reading this, you probably came here from seeing me edit a page that you also edit, and most likely all you need to know is that I, as an editor just like you, want to improve whatever article you came from. You can call me Silvia. よろしく. If for some reason you're compelled to know more about me and my motivations for editing, I guess read on.
I mostly edit pop culture articles, particularly those pertaining to anime, manga, video games and films/television. I am also trying to learn Japanese, and hope to at some point get good enough to cite a wider range of Japanese-language sources to improve articles in my topic areas of interest without relying on the knowledge of others to do so. I find that a lot of the things I most care about primarily have appeal and relevance within niche subcultures of niche subcultures, and are thus less likely to be written about in detail on Wikipedia, if at all.
I mainly come along and improve existing articles about these topics where I see room for improvement and an ability to improve them, but occasionally also create new ones if I can find enough good sources. However, I also tend to be suffering from perpetual burnout and am thus not always making significant headway in content creation, so when I'm not writing in articles, I'm either busying myself with off-wiki creative work or going about doing gnome tasks, like copyediting, making redirects, or adding anchors to assist navigation where useful. I am also a semi-regular participant at Miscellany for Deletion, which I find to be engaging and quirky in its differences from AfD, and the weird little oddities that float through there which you'd never find at other discussion venues.
I am an autisticpluraltransgender lesbianNEET who suffers from ADHD and CPTSD. This isn't directly relevant to my Wikipedia editing, but it has impacted my life experience, which in turn has impacted my likes, dislikes, interests, personal and political views, and this in turn indirectly impacts any biases which are likely to recur in my editing. I try my best to be cognizant of my biases when they are relevant, and avoid unduly pushing my own views in my edits to articles. My insertion of any particular viewpoint into any article is not necessarily an indication that I endorse that view.
Off-wiki, I am known online as joyce-stick, and generally known in meatspace as Joyce Celeste Silvia Fisher. I independently write media criticism, and try my best to archive valuable, interesting, and/or rare digital media artifacts when I find them.
