Hello, I am Yellow Evan (talk · contribs), but most call me YE. I am a 21 year old attendee of the University of Oklahoma, majoring in meteorology and originally from Henderson, Nevada. I generally edit hurricane articles around here, as one can tell by my GA lists above.
I started editing as an IP first before registering here in 2008. I was blocked four times in 2008, but managed to stay around and become a more productive editor in the coming years. From the start, I largely focused on writing articles related to Pacific hurricanes, and by 2011, I had written numerous good articles. I initially focused on recent system but over time, I realized plenty of work was needed on more older systems, and I developed a niche for writing articles on Eastern Pacific from the 1980's. By mid-2012, my interests diverged some, and I tried writing articles on systems in the Southern Hemisphere before eventually migrating to the Western Pacific, where I initially focused on the storms in the early 1980s but have gradually progressed forward since then.
If anyone here into hurricanes needs help, let me know via talk page/IRC/Discore and I will try to provide assistance. IRC/Discord is the easiest way to reach me. Still, if you talk to me on my talk page, I will respond on your talk page.
Outside of Wikipedia, I enjoy watching basketball, an occupation that I tend to do during the winter, the opposite time of year as hurricane season. Aside from Wikipedia, I post frequently about tropical cyclones on Storm2k.org. My other interests include politics, elections, football, and sports online sim games.
