Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. Just saw your comment at Creole language. The state seems to think that it's Hawaii, not Hawai'i : http://www.state.hi.us/. RickK 04:37, 4 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Well, I went ahead and changed it (the word was spelled like that from before). But, FWIW, even within Hawaii, it's really not consistent, and there's no real consensus as to which is correct...you'll see Hawai'i (spelled with the glottal stop) as often as you'll see it spelled without.
