Admin help: I recently found the Old English wikipedia, and I would like to contribute, but I learned that there are no administrators on that wikipedia. How necessary is at least one administrator for a wiki to do well, and if one is necessary, how can somebody become an administrator of an admin-less wikipedia?

The wiki's without local administrators are often fairly small in number of editors and edits, and therefor tend to have less problems that require (immediate) administrative attention than the larges wiki's do. In order to make sure that small wiki's can also function correctly, there is another group of users - the Steward. These users have administrative rights on all wiki's, and they can be contacted in case administrative actions are needed on a wiki. Excirial ^{(Contact me,Contribs)} 07:49, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
