User talk:SwisterTwister/Archive 1

In Tekken 6, I've recently achieved all the levels except where you have to fight Alisa after fighting Jin Kazama and I need help. I've read questions and answers on Q&A websites, but none of them are any help to me. I'd appreciate any help because I've been trying for many many days now. I know other people have said that to try and finish her henchmen before her, but the controller leads me to her instead. Lastly, I've posted this question on the Wikipedia:Reference desk/Entertainment section, but no one ever replied. SwisterTwister talk 20:35, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To anyone who finds this, I need help finding the place to ask a question other than the Help desk, I used to remember but I forgot. Thanks for any feedback.

There used to be a New contributors' help page (Ok there still is), but it has changed in function - I mention this one in case it is the one you were thinking of.
You can get specific help at Requests for feedback, although it is understaffed.
You can also ask technical questions at Village pump.
Are any of these the one you were thinking of?--SPhilbrickT 01:46, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, yes. I was looking for the Wikipedia:Reference desk. Thanks, Sphilbrick. :) SwisterTwister (talk) 01:53, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But you're right, this question belongs at the reference desk, and that is the only place where it belongs since it's entirely unrelated to editing Wikipedia. The question of where to ask is thus done. The underlying question about the game is not the proper subject of a helpme request, and is, in any event, extremely unlikely to be answered even if it was because this type of request only calls a small number of users to your page who monitor such requests so it is statistically unlikely to garner an answer. If you can't get an answer through the reference desk, you may not be able to get help on Wikipedia, but reposting the helpme request because you have not is not going to get you anywhere I don't think. You might try some off-Wikipedia places, such as asking an expert at the gaming section of allexperts. By the way, the nomral posting order on Wikipedia is always to have new post below old--this post would normally be placed at the very bottom of your page, which you will find will make it easier on responders because it is what they are used to.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 09:11, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
