Villanueva is a town and municipality in the Department of Casanare, Colombia. It is a growing town with many new neighborhoods being developed. It is a town with a strong and well-developed economy despite being one of the younger towns not only in the Casanare department, but in Colombia as a whole. The inhabitants of Villanueva proudly participate in the Llano culture of Colombia.
