Vivek Joshi (born 21 May 1966[2]) is a retired IAS officer of 1989 batch from Haryana cadre who is serving as Election Commissioner of India since February 19, 2025.[3][4] He previously served as the Chief Secretary of Haryana state from 1 November 2024 till 18 February 2025. Previously, he served as Personnel Secretary of India from 19 August 2024 till 31 October 2024. Before that, he served as Secretary of the Department of Financial Services.[5][6]
