WNYC (820 kHz) is a non-commercial public radio station, licensed to New York, New York. It, along with WNYC-FM, is one of the primary outlets for WNYC branded^[2] programming, provided by the non-profit New York Public Radio (NYPR).

WNYC broadcasts from studios and offices located in the Hudson Square neighborhood in lower Manhattan, and its transmitter site is located in Kearny, New Jersey.^[3] WNYC has been an early adopter of new technologies including HD radio, live audio streaming, and podcasting.
