Although I still very much support the idea, as a practical matter there is no point in wasting more time on this. Biblio (talk) Reform project. 05:22, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This Pending Changes expansion RfC consists of several proposals regarding pending changes protection.

The first two proposals concern the expansion of Level 1 PC protection to either all articles or only ones of the highest quality and/or importance. PC1 protection requires that a reviewer approve any revision by an anonymous or non-autoconfirmed user before it becomes visible to the general public. The aim of these proposals is to ensure that the general public does not see vandalism, inaccurate/unsourced statements, or poorly-written content. In this way, Wikipedia's quality could hopefully be stabilized somewhat, allowing editors to eliminate backlogs without worrying about the backlog increasing yet again.

The third proposal would help PC reviewers deal with the increased backlog by means of more efficient reviewing systems.

As with all other RfCs, this RfC will run for thirty days.
