This is a list of portals, used to track the status of the portals and updates needed.
- This list was derived from Wikipedia:Portal/Directory. Needs newly created portals added to this list. Also, need to scour through the portal namespace, and Category:Portals under construction and add any that are missing from the list.
- When updating/adding an entry, make note of who has updated the portal in the past, under "maintainers". Also, if the creator or people listed currently as maintainers are no longer active on Wikipedia, make note of that. This helps if we need to find someone to do needed updates.
- Any (and all) of these portals could use new, added caretakers.
- This table is used to evaluate status of Portals, extent of maintenance, note what needs to be done, and help set priorities.
- The designation of "A-Class", "B-Class", "Needs work", and "Needs attention" are subjective.

Near featured quality, fairly well maintained. If the portal has a "news" section, it is up to date. Other content, such as "selected" article and/or picture, are on automatic rotation.

Periodically maintained. Nothing embarassingly out of date (e.g. months-old news), no broken features (red links).

| Needs work (C-Class)
|
Salvagable. Topic is broad enough, that the portal could work. Needs a good amount of work and attention. Features out of date, but not glaringly so (e.g. months old news)

| Needs attention (D-Class)
|
Serious flaws. Has extremely outdated news. Broken features, red links, under construction, incomplete, no maintenance. Topic too narrow for portal to work.
