From the new featured article Theobald of Bec, Archbishop of Canterbury from 1139 to 1161. This copper alloy and enamel medieval plaque held by the British Museum shows Henry of Blois, the insubordinate Bishop of Winchester, who compounded the already turbulent relationship between Theobald and King Stephen. The image was taken by co-nominator Ealdgyth.
