Yaroslavsky District (Russian: Яросла́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the seventeen in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,936.7 square kilometers (747.8 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the city of Yaroslavl (which is not administratively a part of the district).[1] Population: 52,328 (2010 Census);[3] 53,579 (2002 Census);[9] 55,636 (1989 Soviet census).[10]
