Zzxjoanw

The original fictitious entry from 1903

Zzxjoanw (ostensibly pronounced /ʃɔː/ SHAW) is a fictitious entry in an encyclopedia which fooled logologists for many years. It referred to a purported Māori word meaning "drum", "fife", or "conclusion".
