Kool and the Gang, également typographié Kool & the Gang, est un groupe de funk, disco, jazz, rhythm and blues et pop américain formé à Jersey City, dans le New Jersey, en 1964.

Groupe phare des années 1970 et 1980, inspirant divers courants musicaux qui suivent, comme le rap et R'n'B en particulier, le groupe vend plus de 70 millions d'albums dans le monde. Ses titres les plus connus sont Ladies' Night (1979), Celebration (1980), Get Down on It (1981), Let's Go Dancin' (Ooh, La, La, La) (1982), Fresh (1984) ou encore Cherish (1985).
