The Number of the Beast è il settimo singolo degli Iron Maiden, il secondo estratto dall'album omonimo del 1982. È uno dei maggiori successi degli Iron Maiden (ha raggiunto la seconda posizione in Finlandia, la terza nella Official Singles Chart e la quinta in Italia) ed è un brano quasi sempre suonato durante i concerti. Il titolo ed il numero corrispondente 666 fanno riferimento al numero della bestia di cui si parla nell'Apocalisse di Giovanni.
