Qualia

Qualia coloribus saturatis, sicut rubore, indicantur.
Qualia fragariae coloribus inversis visa.

Qualia in philosophia mentis sunt exempla singula experientiae consciae et subiectivae, sicut dolor aut gustatus aut rubor. Qualia saepe dictione ”quale est...?” describuntur: "quale est colorem rubrum sanguinis videre?", vel "quale est capitis dolorem sentire?" Qualia a causis physicis illarum experientiarum distinguenda sunt. Ad summam, qualia verbum insuetum est rei quam pati sueti sumus.[1] Denique Ervinus Schrödinger (1887–1961), physicus Austriacus, sic contra materialismum "Sensus coloris" inquit "physicorum descriptione obiectiva undarum lucis explicari non potest. An poterit physiologus eius rei rationem reddere, si altiorem habeat scientiam eorum quae in retina fiunt eventorum, et processuum nervosorum, quos in fasciculis nervorum opticorum atque in cerebro efficiunt? Haudquaquam."[2]

Sunt quidem, qui potius qualia exstare negent.[3]
