Procol Harum was een Britse band die in 1967^[1] werd gevormd. De band was vooral bekend van hun nummer 1-hits "A Whiter Shade of Pale" en "Homburg". De band werd gezien als een van de wegbereiders van het genre progressieve rock. De samenstelling van de band was in de loop der tijd veelvuldig gewijzigd. De enige constante leden zijn zanger/pianist Gary Brooker en tekstschrijver Keith Reid.
