Eric Patrick Clapton CBE (born 30 March 1945) is an English guitarist, singer and composer. Clapton is regarded as one of the greatest guitarists in the history of rock.[1] Rolling Stone magazine ranked Clapton number 2 on its list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time in 2003.[2]

Clapton has played in a variety of different bands, including the Yardbirds and Cream.
