Trades union

Labour union demonstrators of the Industrial Workers of the World held back by soldiers, during the 1912 Lawrence textile strike in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

A trade union (U.S: labor union, UK also trades union)[1] is an organization or group of workers who join together to negotiate pay, hours, benefits, and working conditions. Union members and supporters of unions claim that they are necessary because the people that run companies want to pay as little as possible.
