Career of Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi's club career began with Barcelona, where he rose through the youth ranks, making his first-team debut in 2004. Over the next years, Messi became the club's all-time leading scorer, amassing numerous domestic and international accolades. During his tenure, Barcelona secured ten La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey victories, and four UEFA Champions League victories.

Messi's individual achievements include eight Ballon d'Or awards. His remarkable goal-scoring ability and dribbling skills solidified his status as one of the greatest footballers of his generation.

In August 2021, due to financial constraints faced by Barcelona, Messi transferred to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Joining forces with fellow superstars like Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, he aimed to continue his success on the European stage. Messi quickly adapted to his new environment, contributing significantly to PSG's domestic and continental campaigns.

On the international stage, Messi has represented Argentina since his debut in 2005. Despite facing criticism for not winning major trophies with the national team, he secured his three international titles since 2021, leading Argentina to victory in the Copa América, Finalissima and FIFA World Cup, the latter two in 2022.
