Emperor Yao (simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Yáo; Wade–Giles: Yao2; traditionally c. 2356 – 2255 BCE)[2] was a legendary Chinese ruler, according to various sources, one of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors.
