Jahmi (Arabic: جهمي, romanized: Jahmī) was a term used by Islamic scholars to refer to the followers of the doctrines of Jahm ibn Safwan (d. 128/746).[1] The four schools of Sunni jurisprudence (fiqh) reject the Jahmi belief.[citation needed] Along with the Mutazilites, they proposed that the Quran is created.[2]
