Mustafa Ahmad al-Sheikh (Arabic: مصطفى أحمد الشيخ) was the founder and head of the Free Syrian Army's Higher Military Council in 2012, during the Syrian Civil War.[2][5] He was a brigadier general in the Syrian Army prior to his defection in December 2011.[6]
