The 2024 United States Senate election in Wyoming will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the state of Wyoming. Incumbent Republican Senator John Barrasso was appointed to the Senate in 2007 after the death of Craig Thomas. Barrasso won a 2008 special election to complete Thomas's term before winning full terms in 2012 and 2018. He is seeking a third full term, and has declared his intent to run for Assistant Republican Leader at the end of the year.[1] The primary elections will take place on August 20, 2024. Whoever wins the Republican Primary is expected to easily win the general election; no Wyoming Democrat has served in the U.S. Senate since Gale McGee left office in 1977 and Wyoming is considered to be an extremely red state.[2]
